Just started to use it last week! I watched a video by Dr Dray on tips to starting differin. So I use the sandwich method which helped a lot I haven’t experienced any dryness at all but I’m on the 2nd week I only use differin like 3x times a week but I’m wondering when can I start using it every night? How do I know if my skin is used to the product?

My 13 y/o daughter started the first month with only twice a week, we are in month 2 and increase it to 3 times per week. Keeping my fingers crossed, so far I haven't seen much improvement, there is some good days but then I feel like we are back to square one. Im going to buy spearmint leaf tea and see how the two will combine. My daughter always moisturizes before putting adapalene as we saw in a video with dr. Dray. She uses CosRX snail mucin. She doesn't wear makeup and is consistent with sunscreen from Cerave. the days we are off adapalene at night we use the rice mask from CosRX, my fear is for daughter to develop scars. She has moderate acne. Any tips anyone?

I see that this was posted three years ago and some of the products may have had an updated formula. However, as someone who uses a whole routine from Shiseido, some of the products mentioned, I need to say that… 1) With the cleanser a little goes a long way, so the price isn’t as expensive counting how long it will last. Also, the more you use the more drying it will feel. The less foam you build, the more drying it will feel. Basically, it looked to me like you were using more than you need and not wetting it enough to build a fluffy foam. Yet, I agree that despite them claiming it for all skin types, dry skin should go for their creamy cleansers. And anyone who doesn’t like a slight squeaky feel should opt for something more gentle. 2) As for the Ultimune Concentrate. Seems like your mom likes to stock up, which means she’s probably had it for a long time and it might’ve expired? The Ultimune concentrate should not be sticky like that! It should feel silky smooth, easy to apply and sink right in. Saying that it’s not “worth the money” because you used products that isn’t for your skin type and that might’ve also been spoiled is kind of… Well… An invalid opinion. But I get it, I had that mindset too, then I turned thirty… 🤪And trust me, when you get to your mid-thirties you will not be saying “eye creams are just expensive moisturizers”. 😅
